WHY THIS JOB: CONTRACT SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT

•        High-impact role where you’ll step in and take ownership quickly

•        Support a ~2M SF commercial portfolio across multiple entities

•        Blend of property-level and corporate accounting exposure

•        Opportunity to work closely with leadership and influence processes


What You’ll Actually Do:

•        Own full monthly close across 1-2 key flagship properties

•        Prepare journal entries (accruals, amortization, prepaid, depreciation)

•        Perform bank recs and full balance sheet reconciliations

•        Deliver monthly financial reporting packages

•        Support multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting

•        Process AP/AR in Yardi (vendor payments, tenant billing, cash receipts)

•        Review CAM reconciliations and advise on methodology (no prep required)

•        Assist with audits, 1099s, and tax support

•        Partner with offshore accounting team to guide workflow

•        Support system improvements and special projects (Yardi + Concur)


To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

•        Strong Yardi Voyager experience (non-negotiable)

•        4+ years of accounting experience, including property accounting

•        Commercial real estate experience (office preferred)/experience with CAM recs needed

•        Experience with multi-entity structures and intercompany accounting

•        Solid understanding of GAAP in a real estate environment

•        Ability to work independently and ramp up quickly

•        Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills


Nice to Have:

•        CPA or public accounting background

•        Fund-level or investor reporting experience


Where and How Much:

•        Contract-to-Hire Opportunity (8 months to start)

•        On-site in Greenwood Village / Lone Tree, CO

•        $42–$52/hour depending on experience
