Why this job – AP/AR SPECIALIST:
A Bozeman-based construction firm is looking to add an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the growing accounting operations team. This is a key role for the company as you’ll be working with clients and vendors to ensure that their needs are being met. Additionally, you’ll be working directly with the CFO to assist in other areas of accounting, finance and operations as needed. You’ll play a critical role in managing financial transactions across multiple entities while working closely with the Controller and project teams.

What You’ll Actually Do:
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable including invoice entry, approvals, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations
- Oversee Accounts Receivable processes including invoicing, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close
- Work across multiple entities to ensure accurate financial reporting in QuickBooks and Sage Intacct
- Maintain detailed financial records and support internal audits and external reviews
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper job costing and billing accuracy
- Utilize Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis of AP/AR data
- Provide responsive support to vendors and customers regarding payment status and documentation
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:.
- 5+ years of AP/AR experience
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Excel (including pivot tables and formulas)
- Ability to manage transactions across multiple entities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear communicator with a team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with job costing, retainage, and construction billing is a plus
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation $70-75K + discretionary bonus
- 100% in Bozeman office
