Why This Job – STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

The Staff Accountant performs core accounting, finance, and operational support duties. Designed for an agile professional early in their accounting career, this role blends core general ledger accounting with direct field support across 5 regional divisions. We are seeking someone with a solid accounting foundation who thrives in dynamic environments and brings the flexibility to adapt as our business scales.

 

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with month-end review, and interpret P&L and Balance Sheet impacts for leadership.
  • Handle key operational functions, including Requests for Adjustment, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory adjustments, and payroll functions.
  • Support contract accounting and rebate process tracking while maintaining compliance with SOX controls and corporate accounting policies.
  • Proactively evaluate operational workflows for efficiencies, analyze routine reporting, and assist with standardized process documentation.
  • Partner with cross-functional managers to gather financial information.

 

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s/MBA or CPA track is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of General Ledger and Financial Accounting experience. Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and working with large data sets).
  • Foundational understanding of GAAP, solid analytical skills, and the ability to explain financial data clearly to operational partners.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • An adaptable, curious problem-solver who asks thoughtful questions, seeks efficiency, and grows alongside an evolving business.

 

Where and How Much:

  • $75K – $90K, depending on experience
  • 15% bonus opportunity
  • 4 days In-Office, Denver Tech Center
