Why this job – DIRECTOR, PATIENT FINANCE & REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT: Ready to leave the high-stress, revolving-door environment of big hospital systems for a stable, supportive, and highly respected physician-owned practice? As the Director of Patient Finance & Revenue Cycle Management, you will step into a vital leadership role overseeing a collaborative team of 15 across cash posting, claims/denials, and a newly consolidated biologics division. Your mission is to break down departmental silos, bridging the gap between front-desk clinic operations and the central billing office to optimize cash flow. If you are a mature, empathetic financial leader looking for a long-term home where you can influence operational success without rigid corporate red tape, this is the perfect career move.

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Provide strategic and hands-on oversight for the entire billing department, including billing, claims, collections, credentialing, and the specialty pharmacy authorization team.
  • Partner closely with front-office clinic managers across multiple locations, providing coaching and training to streamline data collection at the front desk and drastically reduce downstream insurance denials.
  • Optimize revenue cycle workflows within the practice management and EMR systems to maximize reimbursement and cash flow efficiency.
  • Dive into contract analysis and potentially spearhead insurance company negotiations to modernize and standardize payer fee schedules.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, ideally within a multi-site physician practice or specialty clinic.
  • Proven management experience leading teams of 5 or more for at least 3 to 5 years
  • Strong, empathetic communication style with the ability to build consensus and influence clinic staff through a dotted-line reporting structure.
  • Technical comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, core accounting platforms, and Excel.
  • Solid experience navigating complex denial management, claims processing, and ideally specialty pharmacy/buy-and-bill prior authorization workflows.
  • Resilience and a customer-centric mindset to support your staff through patient collections and high-dollar billing disputes.

Where and How Much:

  • Target Compensation: $110K - $130K base plus annual profit-sharing bonus.
  • Schedule: 4/10 schedule. Hybrid flexibility (2 days in-office, 2 days remote) after an initial in-office onboarding period.
  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Benefits: 12% 401(k) contribution, 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums for employees, annual bonus structure, and robust PTO.
