  • Immerse yourself in a fast-paced, "boundary-pushing" environment that values curiosity, flexibility, and innovation.
  • Work directly with the CFO and executive team to drive financial discipline and strategic growth across a national footprint.

Why this job – CONTROLLER:

A rapidly growing, national entertainment leader is seeking a high-caliber Controller to lead its corporate finance function in Denver. This is a pivotal senior leadership role designed for a hands-on professional who thrives in a multi-entity, seasonal, and production-driven environment. You will bridge the gap between technical accounting and strategic FP&A, overseeing everything from month-end close and internal controls to sophisticated financial modeling and KPI development. If you are a curious, adaptive leader looking to translate financial insights into operational action for a high-growth company, this is your next career move.

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Oversee all core accounting functions including GL, month-end/year-end close, AP/AR, payroll coordination, and fixed assets for multiple entities.
  • Own the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes, maintaining rolling cash flow models that account for seasonal event calendars.
  • Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and consolidate results across various markets, venues, and event locations.
  • Perform deep-dive variance analysis and develop KPI dashboards to provide leadership with actionable insights into event profitability and labor allocation.
  • Lead the annual financial audit, coordinate with external tax partners for multi-state filings, and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Build financial models to evaluate new attractions and expansion initiatives while optimizing accounting systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with production and venue managers to track project-level costs and translate financial data into real-world operational improvements.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a background in a Controller or FP&A Manager capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience managing multi-entity consolidations and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong "hands-on" background in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-based financial modeling.
  • Experience in entertainment, hospitality, multi-location, or seasonal businesses is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Paycom, and expense management tools.
  • The ability to remain organized and deadline-driven during high-volume seasonal peaks in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with both executive leadership and site-level operations teams.

Where and How Much:

  • Target Compensation: $140K – $160K, 10% Bonus
  • 100% in-office, north downtown Denver
  • Strong benefits package including generous PTO, 401K
