Why this job – ACCOUNTING MANAGER:

The Accounting Manager drives accurate and consistent financial processes with a strong focus on supplier and customer contract accounting. This role evaluates contract terms tied to customer payments and supplier reimbursements, develops value-added financial reporting, identifies risks and opportunities, and ensures compliance with corporate accounting policies. The Accounting Manager also leads and develops a small accounting team, drives process improvements, and partners cross-functionally to support key initiatives and business priorities. This role is a key launching pad to growth within this dynamic company

 

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Lead and support the month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Manage accounting for customer and supplier contracts, including rebates
  • Maintain SOX controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Develop and improve accounting procedures and documentation
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a small accounting team
  • Partner cross-functionally to support accounting, forecasting, and operations
  • Drive process improvements and support special projects as needed

 

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 4+ years of corporate accounting experience to Senior or Manager/great opportunity for a Senior to make the leap
  • Large company experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated career progression through multiple promotions based on performance
  • High proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and working with large data sets
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical aptitude needed
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience a plus/ideally training and coaching

 

Where and How Much:

  • Target Compensation $110K - $120K DOE+ 30% bonus
  • Willingness to work onsite during onboarding (90 days), then four days per week in the DTC office, 1 day at home/strong flexibility
