Why This Job – SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
The Senior Accountant performs vital accounting, finance, and operational support duties for their assigned Operating Company. Designed for an agile accounting professional, this role blends core general ledger accounting with direct field support across 5 regional Operating Companies. We are seeking someone with a rock-solid accounting foundation who thrives in dynamic environments and brings the flexibility to adapt as our business scales.
In this role, you will analyze and explain the financial impact of business functions on the P&L Statement and Balance Sheet, sharpen SOX controls, and work directly with managers and corporate leadership. As a senior member of the team, you will lead complex projects, spearhead new process development, and provide cross-functional training and support. If you naturally question status-quo processes, identify inefficiencies, and take initiative to build better solutions, this role serves as an exceptional launching pad for your career.
What You'll Actually Do:
- Prepare journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, assist with month-end review, and interpret P&L and Balance Sheet impacts for leadership.
- Manage and evaluate key operational functions, including Requests for Adjustment, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory adjustments, and payroll functions.
- Oversee contract accounting, rebate schedules, and compliance SOX controls and internal corporate policies.
- Proactively evaluate operational workflows for efficiencies, lead complex improvement projects, and develop standardized procedures and documentation.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s/MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
- 3–5 years of General Ledger and Financial Accounting. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data set manipulation).
- Strong foundational understanding of GAAP, deep analytical aptitude, and the ability to interpret and explain financial variances clearly to non-accounting partners.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, with demonstrated leadership in driving projects, developing processes, and training peers.
- An adaptable, proactive problem-solver who asks critical questions, challenges existing workflows, and grows alongside an evolving business.
Where and How Much:
- $85K – $105K, depending on experience
- 20% bonus opportunity
